Options

A set of options that control different aspects of the program are available from the Options Dialog box. The Options dialog box contains two tabs, each corresponding to a different logical group of options: (a) data options, and, (b) presentation options.

Data options

Data options (the first tab of the options dialog box) contain various parameters that define the data are to be presented.

More specifically:

Folder to scan for data: Contains the folder to be scanned for image and sound files.

Include subfolders: check this checkbox if you want to scan recursively all subfolders of the selected folder for image and sound files.

Display Images: Check this checkbox if you want to display images in the slide show. Is this checkbox is not checked, no image will be displayed.

Stretch images: Use this option to stretch images to fit the screen.

Play sounds: Check this checkbox if you want to display images in the slideshow.

Display Captions: Use this radiorgroup to define whether and when captions will be displayed for each slide. By default, captions are the base filenames (without the path and the extension parts) of the image and/or sound files. If the thirst option is selected ("when there is no image"), captions are only displayed in case that no image file exists or image are not selected to be displayed.

Captions Capitalization: Use this checkbox to define if captions are going to be lowercase, uppercase or unchanged (as in the filename)

Background color: Use the button to select the background color of the screen.

Presentation options

Presentation options (the second tab of the options dialog box) contain all parameters that define that way data are to be presented.

More specifically:

Order: Use this radiogroup to select the order with which the slides are presented.

Auto advance: If this checkbox is checked then slides are advanced manually at pre- specified time intervals.

Advance interval: The time interval after which slides are advanced. This is only meaningful if the "auto advance" checkbox is checked

Advance with keypress: Use this checkbox to define whether you can use the keyboard to advance slides. Is this checkbox is checked, all keys can be used to manually advance slides (i.e. go to the next slide). If this checkbox is not checked, one can only use the key in order to advance the slides. In both cases, the key is used to re- introduce a slide (replay the sound) and the key is used to return to the previous slide.

Drawing Options

In this tab you can define wheather you would like to use the mouse for drawing on the screen or not. If this option is enabled, you will be able to draw simply by clicking somewhere on the screen and dragging the mouse. The right mouse button is for changing the pen.
